The Novera Herb Spector Veteran Tournament will be making some important changes for next year.  The Tournament will be held on January 29, 2011.  Events will be mixed, unless numbers allow for separate events for men and women.  In order to maintain the quality of the Tournament, the number of competitors will likely be limited.

The start times for each event/weapon are as follows.  Registration begins one hour before each event, and closes 15 minutes before the start of the event.  Please register using http://www.askfred.net (look up events by date or Division).  Walk-in registration will be accepted, but pre-registration is preferred so that we can better plan each event.
Sabre:  10:30am
Epee:   12:00noon
Foil:       1:30pm

We plan to have very nice awards for first place for each weapons, PLUS custom engraved glass mugs for the top four places, both men and women.

The Birmingham Fencing Club is also planning on making this an event to remember.  We have arranged for a catered dinner, music (live band) and dancing, including a wine/beer open bar.  The cost for all this will be only $25 per person.  We have 26 people confirmed for this event.  Please notify DD Nicolau if your are planning to attend pegadee@bellsouth.net

Nearby lodging is good quality and expected to cost less than $50 each night by special arrangement with the Baymont Inn & Suites (similar to a Hampton Inn) 205-822-2224.

We believe that the date will help prepare you for the Veteran NAC in March.  The Birmingham Fencing Club intends to make this an annual event, inviting some of the best veteran fencers in the United States.  As a first step, the following fencers will be the first to commit:
